Sometimes, what you pour your heart into gets seen – and that’s exactly what we were able to experience. Our restaurant Cervus was awarded 2nd place at this year’s Golden Star Award by the Paulaner Group. A recognition that makes us incredibly proud – and one we want to share with our entire team, our guests, and our city.
On November 18, 2025, we traveled to Munich for the big awards ceremony at Nockherberg. Being nominated among 115 outstanding gastronomic establishments from all over Germany – and ultimately making it into the Top 3 – was a moment we will not forget anytime soon.
The evaluation was carried out by an eight-member jury from the fields of gastronomy, hospitality and communications – including DEHOGA state managing director Thomas Geppert, gastro coach Kurt Steindl, and brand expert Lucca Harthauer. The fact that our Cervus was able to impress this panel means the world to us. Behind every assessment lies real expertise, passion, and a fine sense of hospitality.

Our Cervus – About Roots, Values and Well-Being
Our Cervus, named after the Latin word for “deer,” is an homage to the former inn “Zum goldenen Hirschen,” which welcomed guests here as early as 1919. Today, this history lives on – in a new, open space that blends warmth, style and Bavarian joie de vivre.
We love the interplay between tradition and modernity: wood, natural stone and hops tell stories of the region, while our cuisine brings together the best of Bavaria, Austria and South Tyrol – honest, grounded, and with that special something.
The fact that this combination resonates makes us incredibly happy. After all, the Golden Star stands for exceptional quality, lived beer culture and genuine hospitality – values we strive to embody every single day.
